I have been a registered medical assistant/NCT for over 3 years thinking that would be the best way to help others. I would often cheer them up or make their lives a bit simpler as best I could but I realized in the clinic setting that many of the problems weren’t being addressed. Instead of educating these individuals in the benefits of eating right, regular exercise or even massage techniques or physical therapy, their only solution was medications or referrals to more medications or surgery.
Although I enjoyed those years, I’ve come to realized that I wasn’t helping people out the way that I wanted too. I want the people I meet to say I made a positive impact on their life and lifestyle. I quickly noticed that I was unintentionally inspiring and motivating ladies of all ages to become fit and be healthy through my postings on social media. That is when I became a certified personal trainer with NASM.
Since then, I have continued my journey in education by enrolling at Sterling Health Center to become a licensed massage therapist, at which I am currently an intern. I also intend to specialize in corrective exercise to better help those who have past/current injuries and to also prevent injuries in the long run. I will be combining all my licenses and certifications so I can be the best trainer that I can be for anyone I run into. My studies do not end there though as there is a lot to learn about the human mind and body. Knowledge is a beautiful and powerful thing to pursue. In my free time I like to spend time with my family and dog Panda, play sports, dance and ride horses. I also love to write about everything and anything and I enjoy staying in to watch movies too!

May you always do what you are afraid to do” I truly believe, everything you dream is on the other side of fear. It just takes a leap of faith to get there. I have started to live by this and it amazes me how a simple phrase can help me in becoming the person I was meant to be.
I have always been interested in fitness; I played volleyball for nine years and have been a gym rat ever since. Born and raised a Hoosier (from Indianapolis, Indiana) I attended Ball State University where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. Shortly after graduating, I received my personal training certification through the International Sports Sciences Association. This is the career I’ve always dreamed of and I’m looking forward to sharing what I know with others! Even as a young athlete playing volleyball, I was always unhappy with my weight. When I decided to put fear aside and put my all into being serious about my health it not only started changing the number on the scale but it changed my way of life. While I continue my journey to a healthier version of myself, I want to push and encourage other women to stop letting fear get in the way and guiding them through the necessary steps to a healthier lifestyle. My goal is to provide each client with the knowledge to begin and maintain their health changes, to ignite their drive to get where they want to be and best of all to be blessed as a small part of their life changing experience. Everyone loves that feeling of achievement but it goes well beyond myself as I’m helping others achieving theirs and creating a healthy journey together. It’s hard to not let fear control us, but as soon as we take the jump, fear takes a back seat and our new life is ready and waiting for us.

The mind and body are remarkable and beautiful gifts. My goal is to help provide my clients with the tools, knowledge, and motivation to keep the two in sync optimizing their health and wellbeing through fitness. I understand the importance of exercise programs being unique, and therefore use a variety of training techniques that are personalized for each individual according to their interests, goals, and fitness levels.
Perfection is not the goal. My ultimate mission is to help people achieve overall health and happiness. In today’s society, we are continuously exposed to irrational standards of what it means to be “beautiful.” Growing up, I was a Varsity athlete and participated in a variety of sports including volleyball, soccer, cross country, and track. I was active, but I was not “healthy”. After battling an eating disorder for 9 years and most of my adult life, I decided that I wanted to take control of my life. I turned to fitness, and replaced the harmful habits of my previous lifestyle, along with their negative physical and emotional effects, with a strong passion and desire to utilize and fuel my body the way it was made to. We are all beautiful creations, and our bodies work so hard for us to keep us healthy. The best way to love your body is to care for it and nourish it properly.
As a Cooper Institute Certified Personal trainer with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas State University, I truly believe that my purpose is to help others discover the same physical and mental strength that has empowered me to turn my life around. As my biggest inspiration in Fitness, my Dad has encouraged me to “surround myself with likeminded people with similar passions… because that is when amazing things are accomplished.”
My Dad, a Certified Ironman Coach, has been an incredible example of this. Two days after completing the Ironman World Championship in Australia, he was in a horrific car accident that left him in a medically induced coma for 14 days with two collapsed lungs, a punctured diaphragm, a fractured scapula, and ribs broken in 15 places. Just 7 months later, he completed his 9th ironman, consisting of a 2 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26.2 (marathon distance) run. Watching him
cross the finish line, I was overwhelmed with this truth: That the body can truly achieve what the mind believes…. And I am determined to share that truth and passion with each of my clients.
My purpose and goal is not only to help others make healthy lifestyle choices and achieve their fitness goals, but to also motivate and inspire each individual to experience the most rewarding and empowering feeling of pushing the limits of the human mind and body.

The human body is remarkable, from the most basic processes to its ability to adapt to the environment around it. My fascination with how the body works & adjusts to our daily activities inspired me to earn a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Exercise & Sport Science from the University of Wyoming and a Master’s of Science Degree in Health & Exercise Science from Colorado State University. I also attained the Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification through the American College of Sports Medicine, which is the gold standard for the health & wellness field.
I love that I am able to pursue my passion of helping people improve their quality of life through physical activity & eating healthier. A major focus of my personal philosophy is to instruct each person with whom I work on safe, effective exercises while also educating on all aspects of wellness so each individual can gain confidence and learn how to take care of their precious body. I have been fortunate to teach at Penn State University’s highly regarded Kinesiology Department, helping students discover how to find fitness for life and the balance it takes to commit to a lifetime of good health & well-being. My own personal journey of struggling with weight control & self-confidence has ignited my passion to share the knowledge & insight that I’ve gained, while continuing to learn all I can about health & the human body.

You will only regret giving up and not trying harder.” I am a nationally accredited certified personal trainer with the Cooper Institute, as well as being certified with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America in pre/postnatal fitness, fitness after 50, and water aerobics. I’m also certified with the American Council of exercise as a group fitness instructor. I’m currently working at a physical therapy/sports rehab clinic where I help people get stronger and recover from injury.

Cindy is an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor since 2002 and a Personal Trainer. She is Power Pilates Certified in Beginner and Intermediate Mat, Reformer on the Mat and Props. She has certifications in Yogasteps and Zumba. She is Certified in Les Mills BodyPump and Schwinn Cycling. Most recently she completed her certification in VBarre, a Power Pilates sponsored barre specialty high intensity interval workout. Her continuing education includes Pilates for special populations, Strength Training Past 50, End Neck and Back Pain, Effective Exercises for Scoliosis. She also routinely reads about holistic health, joint health and nutrition. Her focus when training is safety first for her client to prevent injury and to maximize the workout. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma in Organizational Communications.
Cindy enjoys teaching dynamic fitness sessions guaranteeing a challenging workout for all while having FUN in the process. When teaching or training, she loves pushing the class and her clients to a place they would never take themselves on their own. (This makes her really happy). She enjoys reading, animals, hiking, traveling, exercise, dance, holistic health, and spending time with her family. Sometimes she sings but that is when no one else is around.

After the birth of my fourth child I found myself with 85 extra pounds and quickly realized I needed to make some serious changes. I started on my journey to get healthy and along the way fell in love with yoga and fitness! I soon realized that this is what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to help others on their journey, those that were possibly feeling the way I had felt. On my journey I lost extra weight and gained so much more. Like the confidence to become a certified yoga teacher, a personal trainer and the runner I had always wanted to be. To date I have completed 4 half marathons, 1 full marathon and multiple 5k and 10ks. I feel as though all women should make the time to care of themselves, so they can care of those that they love and that being healthy and fit is the key to a happy, wholesome life! As your trainer I will encourage you, support you and be with you every step of the way to your health and fitness goals, whatever that may be!

As a mom, wife, entrepreneur, and speaker Alba sets herself to a high standard by pushing herself beyond the norm to become the best trainer, mentor, and friend she can offer to people. Alba Hatcher is a Certified Personal Trainer with the Cooper Institute, a Biomechanics Specialist, an Ortho-Kinetics® Professional Trainer and a Licensed Bodywork Therapist in the state of Texas. With a history of 11 years in martial arts, achieving herself a 3rd Degree Black Belt, and several years as a professional belly dancer with her own choreographies, she has set herself apart in diversity and creative commitment for which she utilizes with her clients every day. Alba feels that everyone was put on this earth with a specific purpose. Her clients have one body and one lifetime, she has made the proper tools available to help not only preserve it but make it the best it can be. There is no better reward than helping people get out of pain and helping them create and achieve goals they never thought possible.
