The mind and body are remarkable and beautiful gifts. My goal is to help provide my clients with the tools, knowledge, and motivation to keep the two in sync by optimizing their health and wellbeing through Fitness and Mindset Training.
Perfection is not the goal. My ultimate mission is to help people achieve overall health and happiness. In today’s society, we are continuously exposed to irrational standards of what it means to be “beautiful.” Growing up, I participated in a variety of sports including volleyball, soccer, cross country, and track. I was active, but I was not “healthy”. After battling an eating disorder for 9 years, I decided to take back control of my life and to develop a healthy and sustainable lifestyle that would optimize my physical and mental wellbeing. Over time, the harmful habits were replaced with a strong passion and desire to utilize and fuel my body the way it was uniquely designed to. Through fitness, I was able to transform my mindset from toxic self-doubt to one fueled by gratitude and confidence. Our bodies work so hard for us to keep us healthy, and the best way to love your body in return is to care for it and nourish it properly.
As a Cooper Institute Certified Personal trainer with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I believe that my purpose is to help others discover the same physical and mental strength that has empowered me to make my health a priority in order to achieve my greatest potential. My Dad, a Certified Ironman Coach, is my biggest inspiration in Fitness and has encouraged me to “surround myself with likeminded people with similar passions… because that is when amazing things are accomplished.” Like him, I have fallen in love with the sport and community of Triathlon, along with the physical and mental challenge of competing in Ironman Triathlons and Ultra-Marathons. Hundreds of hours of training for these events have led me to this undeniable truth: That the body can truly achieve what the mind believes.
I have since received certifications in Mindset Coaching, as well as Cognitive Behavioral and Emotional Intelligence Coaching, so that I have the tools to share that truth and empower others to own their journey, and to experience the ultimate reward of a Healthy Body and Mind.
